The 13th DESRIST "International Conference on Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology" took place this year at the IIT Madras in Chennai, India. With the slogan "Designing for a Digital and Globalised World", representatives from science and practice discussed the potentials and challenges of design research in the digital age. Sascha Julian Oks from the Chair for Information Systems, also Innovation and Value Creation at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, presented the article "Design and Evaluation of a Portable Industrial Demonstrator for Cyber-Physical Systems". The paper was co-authored by Dr. Dr. Albrecht Fritzsche and Prof. Dr. Kathrin M. Möslein. The paper deals with the modelling and simulation of industrial cyber-physical systems using the Industry 4.0 demonstrator "PID4CPS".
